Hill & Hole Are Best Friends

Written by Kyle Mewburn, Illustrated by Vasanti Unka

Hole and Hill are best friends, and they appreciate what each one can see or feel. Although both like being what they are, they are curious about what it’s like to be the other one, and with the help of Mole, they are able to do just that. But eventually, of course, both miss what they once were, and Hole wants to return to being a Hole, while Hill feels the same way. They enlist the help of Wind, who levels the playing ground for them so they can have both experiences at the same time. This book was a little odd and I’m not sure how it will appeal to students. It seemed a little unfinished to me.
