Spill Zone

Written by Scott Westerfeld, Illustrated by Alex Puvilland, Colors by Hilary Sycamore

Addison provides for herself and her little sister, Lexa, by taking illegal photographs of the Spill Zone. When the Spill happened, their parents were inside the zone, at the hospital working in the ER. One of Addie’s biggest fears is seeing the meat puppets that her parents have become. Addie is concerned that things inside the Spill Zone seem to be getting stranger and even more dangerous. However, her photographs are becoming more valuable as well. Can she make enough to stop taking photos forever? Will she survive?

This is an engaging graphic novel that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat. The illustrations are detailed and provide clear differentiation between the two geographic zones. It is a great read for those who like Scott Westerfeld, or Doug TenNapel.
