Elementary librarians attended the annual book walk earlier this month!
Over several days, elementary librarians came by appointment to study and peruse a pop-up bookstore-style collection of new and well-reviewed releases in children’s literature. Curated by Marci Bishop, District Elementary Library Specialist, the book walk featured 2022 new releases in children’s fiction and nonfiction, picture books, and graphic novels.
Librarians used their time at the book walk to plan purchases for school library collections, discover read-aloud options, find titles to recommend to students, and more. Each librarian also picked several of the display books to have sent to their school once the book walk was finished.
