This book would be a great independent read or class read. It gives the history of the most famous piece of art in the world, as well as the biography of Leonardo da Vinci. The book keeps your attention because it not only discusses the Mona Lisa, but how it was stolen, the political/artistic climate, and more. It reads like a thriller, exploring the different suspects, artists, politicians, and other characters who are involved. A very interesting read on the history of the Mona Lisa!!
