Slickety Quick: Poems about Sharks

Not only does this book have fun and clever poems about sharks, it also contains facts and information about the creatures as well. I am glad that Skila Brown chose some of the more unusual sharks to describe, such as the Cookiecutter shark (I had never heard of it before) and the Mako shark. I also learned new things about familiar sharks, like that the Blue shark can have a litter of more than 25 pups at a time! This is a wonderful book about sharks and a great way to introduce children to poetry.
