The Chupacabras of the Rio Grande (The Unicorn Rescue Society, #4), by Adam Gidwitz, David Bowles, and Hatem Aly

Written by Adam Gidwitz and David Bowles, Illustrated by Hatem Aly

Uchenna and Elliot are at it again for the 4th time: saving another mythical creature! Professor Fauna gets them to come with him from New Jersey to the southern border of the United States in Texas. There are reports of cattle dying from having their blood sucked out. There are clues that the culprit might be chupacabras (sucker of goats.) No one has ever seen one in real life until The Unicorn Rescue Society takes the trip to solve the mystery. They find unexpected help when they get there and find a surprising solution to the mystery of the chupacabras. A fun story that will teach you a few things about the history of these creatures and the area that they were first documented in.
