Diego and the Rangers of the Vastlantic

Timeless, #1

Written and Illustrated by Armand Baltazar

The world ended and humans were granted a second chance. The past, the present, the future– thrown together. As in all days of man, some were good with this world and others want to change it. Diego is a first generation child to be born of this world. His dad is Santiago; a Mid Timer, inventor, builder, and visionary. His mom is Siobhan; a Steam Timer and once decorated fighter pilot. The story begins on Diego’s thirteenth birthday. He feels pressure to be like his dad, but he wants to be his own person. Unfortunately, his world changes dramatically on this day. I did not feel that the swearing was necessary to the story and the pictures were distracting. The pictures are spectacular, but the author uses them to finish his story line and not words.
