Something on the Hill

Written by Jane Kohuth, Illustrated by Sonia Sanchez

Something on the Hill is a picture book about the delight of the coming of Spring. It starts with Field Mouse, who journeys to see the “something” on the hill. Along the way Mouse picks up more and more friends to see the something. The illustrations start in kind of dull colors and progress to more colorful yellows by the end. And the illustrator incorporates the end spreads in portrait mode, where you have to flip the book to read it. It’s a fun little journey, probably for grades P-3.
