The title of this book is deceiving. Turns out this is a children’s version of Eleanor Roosevelt’s 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The universal rights of all humans begin, “in small places, close to home.” It states what rights a person has and then the responsibilities. For example, if we have the right to choose what to think and believe, then we also must listen and respect how others think and believe. The illustrations are pretty. I would imagine it would interest higher grades in elementary school.
